Financing a Doula
Hiring a doula is a big investment, but I can work with you if finances are a concern. Although private insurance does not currently cover doula services, some HSA/FSA plans will reimburse you for it. I can help you work with your health care provider and your HSA/FSA plan to determine eligibility. If you have Medicaid, they cover a total of 12 prenatal/postpartum visits with a doula in addition to doula support at your labor and birth.
I can accept UnitedHealthcare commercial, exchange, and medicaid plans in addition to Priority Health Medicaid. I am in the process of becoming credentialed with Blue Cross Complete and Meridian Medicaid health plans.
If you do not qualify for Medicaid coverage, and you do not have the option to use an HSA/FSA, I can work with you on a sliding scale and/or payment plan. Every mother deserves a doula.
